Eberle, Warriors edge Blades 5-4 in OT; Saskatoon's point streak stretches to 19
MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Tanner Eberle scored 45 seconds in to overtime as the Moose Jaw Warriors edged the red-hot Saskatoon Blades 5-4 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.
Brayden Point led Moose Jaw (22-34-10) with two goals and two assists, while Justin Kirsch and Jordan Messier also scored. Justin Paulic was solid in net, making 36 saves for the win.
Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Morgan Rielly had two assists for the Warriors.
Matej Stransky struck twice for Saskatoon (41-21-4), which had won 18 straight games. Duncan Siemens and Michael Ferland had goals as well, while Andrey Makarov made 34 saves.
Moose Jaw went 2 for 4 on the power play, while the Blades' special teams sputtered, going 0 for 3 with the man advantage.
