Edmonton Oil Kings cruise past Seattle Thunderbirds 6-2 in the WHL

KENT, Wash. - Henrik Samuelsson and Michael St. Croix each scored their 32nd goals of the season and Curtis Lazar added his 34th on Tuesday to lift the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 6-2 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Western Hockey League.

Edmonton built a 3-0 lead on a first-period goal by Dylan Wruck and singles from T.J. Foster and Cody Corbett in the second period. After Alexander Delnov replied for Seattle, Edmonton put the game away with goals from Samuelsson, St. Criox and Lazar in the third period.

Luke Lockhart scored late for Seattle (21-34-8), which lost its fourth straight at home. The Thunderbirds remain in seventh place in the Western Conference, one point ahead of the Everett Silvertips.

Brandon Glover stopped 13-of-16 shots before getting replaced in the Seattle goal by Danny Mumaugh, who finished with nine saves.
