KENNEWICK, Wash. - Brandon Glover stopped 29 shots as the Seattle Thunderbirds defeated the host Tri-City Americans 3-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Luke Lockhart, Seth Swenson and Roberts Lipsbergs scored for the Thunderbirds (21-35-8), who halted their four-game winless streak, and Connor Sanvido chipped in with two assists.

Connor Rankin scored the lone goal for the Americans (37-22-3), who lost for the first time in seven contests, and Troy Trembley turned away 28 shots in defeat.

Seattle went 0 for 5 on the power play while Tri-Cty failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.

Prior to puck drop, the Americans honoured captain Justin Feser for setting the new WHL iron-man record at 312 games.
