Heard scores winner as Whalers extend win streak to seven games
PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Mitchell Heard scored 1:42 into overtime as the Plymouth Whalers edged the visiting Windsor Spitfires 4-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Stefan Noesen and Sebastian Uvira each had a goal and two assists for the Whalers (41-17-9), who extended their win streak to seven games, and Vincent Trocheck had a goal and an assist.
Brady Vail, Alexander Khokhlachev and Kerby Rychel scored for the Spitfires (26-32-9) and Alex Aleardi assisted on all three of his club's goals.
Alex Nedeljkovic made 27 saves for the win as Jaroslav Pavelka turned away 38 shots in defeat.
Plymouth went 1 for 4 on the power play while Windsor scored twice on four chances with the man advantage.
