Kontos, Goldberg and Brace each score twice as Steelheads hammer IceDogs 8-2
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Kristoff Kontos, Andrew Goldberg and Riley Brace each scored twice as the Mississauga Steelheads hammered the Niagara IceDogs 8-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.
Kontos, Brace and Brett Foy, who had one goal and two assists, all finished with three-point games, while Bobby MacIntyre had the other Steelheads (25-27-5) goal.
Steven Shipley and Jordan Malette replied for Niagara (26-28-4), which outshot Mississauga 31-28 overall.
Tyson Teichmann made 26 saves for the win.
Chris Festarini allowed three goals on 12 shots before being pulled in favour of rookie Brent Moran, who gave up five goals on 13 shots.
Mississauga was 0-for-3 on the power play. Niagara converted on its one power play.
