KENT, Wash. - Mirco Mueller scored 2:07 into overtime as the Everett Silvertips edged the host Seattle Thunderbirds 3-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Mueller's goal snapped an 11-game winless streak for Everett, who last recorded a victory on Jan. 25th against the Prince George Cougars.
Tyler Sandhu scored twice for the Silvertips (22-35-5), who despite the winless streak still hold the final playoff position in the Western Conference, and Landon Oslanski assisted on all three of his club's goals.
Griffin Foulk and Shea Theodore scored for the Thunderbirds (21-32-8), who with the overtime loss have earned at least one point in five straight contests.
Austin Lotz stopped 36-of-38 shots for the win as Brandon Glover made 23 saves in defeat.
Everett went 2 for 7 on the power play while Seattle scored once on four chances with the man advantage.
