Proft scores two goals, Williams makes 20 saves as Chiefs blank Americans

SPOKANE, Wash. - Carter Proft scored twice and Eric Williams made 20 saves as the Spokane Chiefs blanked the visiting Tri-City Americans 6-0 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Alessio Bertaggia had a goal and an assist for the Chiefs (43-25-2), who won their fourth game in a row, while Tyler King, Mitch Holmberg and Jackson Playfair had the others.

Troy Trombley turned away 22-of-28 shots in a losing cause for the Americans (40-26-4), who are winless in three games.

Spokane went 3 for 7 on the power play while Tri-City failed to score two chances with the man advantage.
