QMJHL Roundup: Andrighetto sets up four goals as Huskies double up Rocket

Sven Andrighetto will find you if given the chance.

The 19-year-old set up four goals on Saturday as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies doubled up the visiting P.E.I. Rocket 6-3 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.

Andrighetto has had four or more assists six times this season and his 58 assists in 47 games is good for fourth in the QMJHL.

Mathieu Brisebois and Nikita Kucherov each scored twice for the Huskies (35-23-4), who won for the first time in three outings, while Alexandre Leclerc and Maxime St-Cyr added a goal each.

Brisebois's two goals move into a tie with Kevin Gagne of the Rimouski Oceanic for the league lead in scoring for defencemen with 67 points in 58 games.

Ben Duffy, Alex Micallef and Jimmy Oligny scored for the Rocket (35-23-4), who lost in regulation for the first time in six contests.

Rouyn-Noranda's Alex Belanger picked up the win after stopping 12 shots in 40 minutes of action. Philippe Gingras replaced Belanger to start the third period and allowed three goals on 18 shots. P.E.I.'s Maxime Lagace took the loss after giving up five goals on 18 shots. Antoine Bibeau turned away 10-of-11 shots in relief of Lagace, who also left the game after the second period.

The Huskies went 3 for 8 on the power play while the Rocket went 3 for 7.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Acadie-Bathurst 4, Saint John 1; Moncton 3, Quebec 2 and Halifax 4, Val-d'Or 3 (SO).

At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Leclerc scored 4:13 into the first period to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.

St-Cyr, Brisebois and Micallef all scored in the span of 3:41 in the second period and Brisebois added another in the final minute of the period as Rouyn-Noranda took a 5-0 lead into second intermission.

Micallef and Duffy scored a minute apart to get P.E.I. back into the game and Oligny added another at 17:16 to make it 5-3.

That was as close as the Rocket would come, however, as Kucherov responded for the Huskies at 18:39.

Titan 4 Sea Dogs 1

At Bathurst, N.B., Alex Fournier stopped 52-of-56 shots for the Sea Dogs (22-39-1), however Patrik Zdrahal scored two goals as the Titan (24-31-7) won for the first time in three outings.

Wildcats 3 Remparts 2

At Quebec City, Phillip Danault scored the winner at 14:24 of the third period and Alex Dubeau turned away 43 shots, including all 20 he faced in the first period, as Moncton (40-20-1) beat the Remparts (36-21-5) for its sixth win in a row.

Mooseheads 4 Foreurs 3 (SO)

At Val-d'Or, Que., Jonathan Drouin scored once in regulation, extending his point streak to 26 games, and Martin Frk scored the shootout winner as Halifax (52-6-3) slipped past the Foreurs (35-24-4) for its second 10-game win streak of the season.
