Rouse scores tiebreaker in third period as Giants beat Blazers 5-3
KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Brendan Rouse scored a tiebreaking goal at 5:53 of the third period as the Vancouver Giants beat the Kamloops Blazers 5-3 in WHL action Wednesday night.
Rouse finished with two goals, while Dalton Sward, Travis McEvoy and Cain Franson also scored for Vancouver (17-45-2).
Joel Edmundson, JC Lipon and Chase Souto replied for the Blazers (41-18-5), who had won the first six games of the season series, including a 6-0 triumph in Vancouver on Friday night.
Vancouver goaltender Jared Rathjen stopped 34 shots, while Taran Kozun of the Blazers turned aside 33.
