Sparks 39 saves as the Storm double up the Wolves

SUDBURY, Ont. - Garret Sparks stopped 39-of-41 shots as the Guelph Storm doubled up the host Sudbury Wolves 4-2 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Tyler Bertuzzi and Brock McGinn each scored two goals for the Storm (36-20-5), who have won three games in a row, while Robby Fabbri had three assists.

Nicholas Baptiste and Dominik Kubalik scored for the Wolves (28-24-11), who are winless in three games, and Franky Palazzese turned away 24 shots in a losing cause.

McGinn opened the scoring 7:44 into the first period on a 5-on-3 power play when he buried a shot in front of the net, however Kubalik replied for the Wolves after he deposited a rebound at 12:06.

Baptiste made it 2-1 Sudbury at 7:47 of the second period before McGinn tied the game with a power-play goal only a minute later.

Bertuzzi scored the go-ahead goal at 10:38 when he redirected the puck through Palazzese's five-hole and he made it 4-2 at 15:03 when he capitalized on a two-on-one break.

Guelph went 2 for 7 on the power play while Sudbury failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
