Two out of Moose lineup heading into final games of road trip
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Manitoba Moose will go into tomorrow night's action against the Rochester Americans shorthanded as key forwards Mark Cullen and Michel Ouellet will be unavailable to the club.
The Moose have signed winger Dusty Collins from the Ontario Reign of the ECHL to bolster their forward group.
Cullen injured his shoulder in the first period of the club's win over the Hamilton Bulldogs last night and is listed as day-to-day.
Ouellet has left the club to join his wife in Winnipeg for the birth of their child.
Collins, 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, has four goals and two assists in 16 games with the AHL's Manchester Monarchs this season and six goals and eight assists in 24 games with Ontario.
Forward Greg Rallo was a healthy scratch last night and its likely he'll be inserted in the lineup for tomorrow's game. Earlier this week coach Scott Arniel said he planned to use all three of his goalies in the final stretch of this trip. No. 1 man Cory Schneider played yesterday and the early betting has Curtis Sanford going tomorrow night and Karl Goehring getting the nod for Saturday's game in Syracuse against the Crunch.
The Moose have won seven of their last eight games and four straight and now have two more games remaining on this five game road swing, Friday in Rochester and Saturday in Syracuse.
