Foligno, Blue Jackets have three-year deal

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed left-winger Nick Foligno to a three-year, $9.15 million contract.

General manager Scott Howson announced the signing Friday, five days after Foligno was picked up in a trade with Ottawa for defenceman Marc Methot. Foligno, who was a restricted free agent, will receive $2.5 million in 2012-13, $3 million in 2013-14 and $3.75 in 2014-15.

The 24-year-old Foligno, who had 15 goals and 32 assists a year ago, is expected to add some much needed punch to the Blue Jackets' offence.

Bolts get Lindback

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed goaltender Anders Lindback to a two-year contract, the club announced Friday.

The 24-year-old compiled a 5-8-0 record to go along with a 2.42 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage this past season while backing up Nashville Predators starter Pekka Rinne.

The Bolts acquired Lindback, forward Kyle Wilson and a 2012 seventh-round pick in June from the Predators for goalie Sebastien Caron, two 2012 second-round picks and a 2013 third-round pick.

Yotes sign Chipchura

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes have signed restricted free agent forward Kyle Chipchura to a one-year contract.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Chipchura played 53 games for the Coyotes last season, scoring three goals with 13 assists. He also played 15 playoff games as Phoenix made an improbable run to the Western Conference final, scoring a goal with three assists.

Habs, Eller agree

MONTREAL -- The Montreal Canadiens re-signed centre Lars Eller to a two-year contract on Friday.

Eller, 23, earned the deal after notching 16 goals and 12 assists for 28 points with the Habs last season. He has spent two seasons in Montreal, posting 45 points in that span.

Eller joined the Canadiens from St. Louis in June 2010, after he and Ian Schultz were traded for goalie Jaroslav Halak.
