ABOUT THE BOLTS

The Bolts broke a two-game losing streak in Thursday's 3-1 home win over the Ottawa Senators. Martin St. Louis scored twice and Valtteri Filppula once for Tampa, now 17-10-1. Ondrej Palat, inserted onto the top line with St. Louis, was excellent in the win with two assists while registering nine hits and two blocked shots.

The news wasn't all good for the Lightning Thursday: Defenceman Victor Hedman left the game with a lower-body injury and Keith Aulie broke his hand and will need surgery. Tampa's injured list also includes: C Steven Stamkos (broken leg), D Brian Lee (knee), C Tom Pyatt (collarbone), D Radko Gudas (upper body), LW Ryan Malone (ankle), LW Pierre-Cedric Labrie (arm/elbow) and D Eric Brewer (lower body).

Tampa Bay Times hockey writer Damian Cristodero reported Friday Brewer and Gudas are expected back in the lineup against the Jets.

The Lightning power-play went 0-for-4 against the Sens and is now just 4-for-50 in its past 16 games.

St. Louis now has 938 career points, tied with Jason Arnott for 91st on the NHL's all-time list.

Tampa is 5-5-1 since losing Stamkos to a broken leg.

Goaltender Ben Bishop has kicked out 157 of 162 shots he has faced in the last five games.
