Australia A down England Lions by 113 runs to take unbeatable 3-0 series lead
HOBART, Australia - Australia claimed a comprehensive 113-run win over the second-string England Lions on Friday to take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in their five-match one-day series.
Lions were all out for just 143 in 37 overs in reply to Australia A's 256-6, which was fueled by Callum Ferguson's 65 from 64 balls.
Only Lions captain James Taylor (78 from 82 balls) showed any real resistance as the tourists lost their last eight wickets for just 49 runs.
Australia A captain Aaron Finch made 57 from 83 balls, while Lions spinner Simon Kerrigan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-27.
Australia one-day batsman Adam Voges will join the Australia A squad in Sydney on Saturday for the final two games of the series.
