COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - Bangladesh recovered from the early loss of Tamim Iqbal to reach 62-2 at lunch Saturday on the opening day of the second cricket test against Sri Lanka.

Asked to bat first after Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews won the toss, the tourists lost Iqbal for 10 when he was trapped lbw by seam bowler Nuwan Kulasekara.

Jahurul Islam and Mohammad Ashraful then shared a 35-run partnership to steady Bangladesh before Ashraful was dismissed for 16.
