Blues had one Halak of a game: Hitchcock
VIEW FROM THE OTHER SIDE: Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock:
"Our goalie (Jaroslav Halak) was our best player. He needed to be, but this was a very, very difficult travel situation that we got in. I'm really happy that we won the hockey game. We came off an unbelievable game in Boston. The next night we play in Nashville sitting there waiting. This team sitting and waiting and we're still collecting points so I'm really happy with that. Pretty impressive."
Blues forward David Perron: "No, it's two points that we get tonight and not the best game we've played but at the end of the year two points is two points. They dominated us pretty much in every aspect of the game. Obviously Jaroslav kept us in the game all night. He was hot pretty much all night. Sometimes there's, not that we want nights like that, but the most important thing is we found a way to get the two points at the end."
NOTABLE NUMBERS: Antti Miettinen played in his 500th career NHL game today while Tim Stapleton appeared in his 100th... Evander Kane extended his point streak to six games (5G, 4A), the longest in his career... Dustin Byfuglien had two assists now has 11 points (2G, 9A) in his last six... The Jets are now 7-8 in games that have gone beyond regulation time this season, including 4-4 in shootouts. The Jets are 3-4 in games that have been decided in overtime this season.
