England wins toss, bats in 2nd Twenty20 vs. Australia

MELBOURNE, Australia - England won the toss and elected to bat on Friday in the second Twenty20 international against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Australia leads the three-match series 1-0 after winning the Ashes test series 5-0 and the five-match one-day series 4-1.

England made one change to its lineup, naming spinner James Tredwell in place of Danny Briggs.

Mitchell Starc returned to the Australia lineup for his first Twenty20 international since January 2013 while veteran Brad Hodge also returned to the match XI.

Australia: George Bailey (captain), Aaron Finch, Cameron White, Brad Hodge, Glenn Maxwell, Chris Lynn, Matthew Wade, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Muirhead, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood.

England: Stuart Broad (captain), Michael Lumb, Alex Hales, Luke Wright, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Jade Dernbach, James Tredwell.

Umpires: Paul Wilson and John Ward, Australia.

TV umpire: Simon Fry, Australia; Match referee: Andy Pycroft, Zimbabwe.
