Ireland prop Cian Healy available for France game in 6 Nations after successful appeal

GLASGOW, Scotland - Ireland prop Cian Healy will be available for the Six Nations match against France on March 9 following a successful appeal against the conditions of his suspension for stamping on England's Dan Cole.
The Six Nations disciplinary committee originally ruled that Healy's three-week ban should be spread over four weekends, taking into account the tournament's first inactive weekend on Feb. 16-17.
However, Healy argued that wasn't allowed under the regulations and his appeal was upheld at a hearing in Glasgow on Wednesday. His suspension will now finish on March 3.
The return of the influential prop will boost Ireland's hopes of condemning last-place France to a fourth straight loss in the tournament.
Ireland is fourth in the table with one win from three games after Sunday's loss to Scotland.
