Fourcade overcame two penalties to win the men's 12.5-kilometre race in 33 minutes, 48.2 seconds, beating Norway's Tarjei Boe and Alexandr Loginov of Russia.

Boe won the 10K sprint Thursday ahead of Fourcade but was overtaken and finished 27.7 seconds behind, with Loginov 35.5 back. Both had three penalties.

Fourcade has 958 points in the overall standings, with Norway's Emil Hegle Svendsen second on 751.

In the women's race, Berger earned her second win in two days by winning the women's 10K pursuit.
