NZ wins toss, chooses to bat first vs West Indies in 2nd test in Trinidad

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad - New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum won the toss and chose to bat first against the West Indies in the second cricket test at Queen's Park Oval on Monday.

The tourists, confident after victory in the opening match in Jamaica last Wednesday, made one change to their winning 11, bringing in left-hander Hamish Rutherford for the out-of-form Peter Fulton.

The home team made three changes, with Jamaica batsman Jermaine Blackwood brought in for his debut and opener Kraigg Brathwaite and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel recalled.

Kieran Powell, Marlon Samuels have been dropped while offspinner Shane Shillingford was left out due to an ankle injury.
