Queen Tina honoured as 2008's Horse of the Year

  • Print
WE misspelled the name of the 2008 Manitoba-bred Horse of the Year on Monday. The Winnipeg-based Starfield Stables horse, trained by Harry Kube, is Queen Tina, not Queen Trina. She won two stakes in 2008 and received the award handed out by the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society, Manitoba Chapter.

Assiniboia Downs also issued its own correction and apology Tuesday for mistakenly announcing that Adventica was named best two-year-old filly when in fact, Dreamin and Schemin, owned by Off 2 Win Stable and trained by Ardell Sayler, won the award.
