Vikings extend Frazier's deal

MINNEAPOLIS -- After leading the Vikings to a surprising playoff berth last season, Leslie Frazier has reached an agreement that will keep him in Minnesota at least through 2014.

The two sides agreed to the deal this week, two people with knowledge of the agreement told The Associated Press on Wednesday. Both spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced. The team was expected to announce the agreement on Friday.

Magic forward suspended for PED

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu was suspended 20 games by the NBA on Wednesday after testing positive for steroids.

The NBA said Turkoglu tested positive for methenolone, an anabolic steroid. He began serving the suspension Wednesday night as the Magic hosted the Atlanta Hawks.

Turkoglu took full responsibility for the positive test and apologized to the Magic organization, his fans and fellow teammates. He said he took medication from a trainer in Turkey this past summer to help him recover from a shoulder injury and neglected to check it against the NBA's banned list.

"As a player this is the worst situation that you want to be in," Turkoglu said. "I'm just sorry to put the organization in this situation..."

Alouettes sign trio

MONTREAL -- The Montreal Alouettes signed two-year contract extensions Wednesday with linebacker Chip Cox and receivers S.J. Green and Eric Deslauriers.

Cox, an Alsince 2006, was a CFL all-star from 2009 to 2011. Last season he led the club with four interceptions and was second in tackles.

Green had a second straight 1,000-yard season, registering 61 catches for 1,111 yards and four touchdowns.

Deslauriers caught 13 passes for 299 yards.
