In other A finals, the Bisons women's relay team of Rita Laszlo, Julie Therrien, Jenna Houssin and Whitney Reed finished fifth in the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:02.86; Lazlo also swam a 27.24 to finish eighth in the 50 freestyle. The men's relay team of Taylor, Casey Gergely, William Willborn and Oliver Gergely finished sixth in the 400 freestyle in 3:39.28.
Yestrau, Kerri-Ann Bochen, Emma Gaudet and Taylor all got another shot at an A-level gold Sunday afternoon, when all four qualified through the preliminaries.
Taylor is the favourite in the 200 breaststroke after qualifying first in 2:21.11. Yestrau was the sixth qualifier in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.41 and Bochen and Gaudet qualified (seventh and eighth) for the 200 breaststroke with times of 2:42.33 and 2:44.76, respectively.
The Bisons had better success in Friday's B finals. Bochen won the women's 400 individual medley with a time of 5:04.06 and Gaudet was third in 5:12.31. Bochen also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.76 and Houssin took second in 1:14.96. The B gold in the women's 50 freestyle was taken by Therrien in 27.17.
