West Indies win toss and elect to bowl first against Bangladesh in first ODI

ST. GEORGE'S, Grenada - West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo won the toss here Wednesday and chose to bowl in the first one-day international against Bangladesh at the National Stadium.

The West Indies, without coach Ottis Gibson whose departure from the regional team was made official on Tuesday, left out former skipper Darren Sammy and left-arm spinner Nikita Miller from its squad of 13.

Bangladesh omitted Mominul Haque, Abdur Razzaq, Rubel Hossain and Mithun Ali from its touring squad of 15.

West Indies: Chris Gayle, Kirk Edwards, Darren Bravo, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Bravo, (captain), Denesh Ramdin (wicket-keeper), Kieron Pollard, Jason Holder, Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul.

Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque, Imrul Kayes, Shamsur Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim (captain & wicket-keeper), Mahmudullah, Nasir Hossain, Sohag Gazi, Mashrafe Mortaza, Taskin Ahmed, Al-Amin Hossain.

Umpires: Richard Kettleborough, England, and Joel Wilson, Trinidad and Tobago.

Third umpire: Aleem Dar, Pakistan.

ICC Match Referee: Jeff Crowe.
