MILAN - Brazilian defender Alex is on the verge of signing a two-year contract at AC Milan.

Alex is set to finalize his move from Paris Saint-Germain after undergoing a medical on Thursday.

The 31-year-old says, "I am very happy to be at Milan, people have spoken very well of the club to me ... everything's been perfect."

Alex spent two seasons at PSG after joining from Chelsea in 2012, winning the French league title both years.

He also helped Chelsea to the English Premier League title and two FA Cup triumphs.

Alex made 17 appearances for Brazil.
