  • Print

AMSTERDAM - Ajax could only draw at PEC Zwolle 1-1 Sunday but still extended its lead in the Dutch league as PSV beat second-place FC Twente 3-2 in Eindhoven.

Ajax has a 5-point lead over Twente, Feyenoord and Vitesse Arnhem.

Davy Klaassen scored after seven minutes for Ajax, heading in a free kick by Lasse Schone.

Zwolle's Guyon Fernandez struck home a deflected ball to equalize in the 36th and the hosts wasted chances to win the match.

Among teams still in contention for the title, Feyenoord looks strongest, adding to a recent winning streak with a 5-1 victory over NEC Nijmegen Saturday with two goals each from Graziano Pelle and Jean-Paul Boetius.

Vitesse drew 0-0 against lowly ADO Den Haag on Friday.
