Anthony Stokes scores hat trick as Celtic restores 21-point lead in Scottish league

GLASGOW, Scotland - Anthony Stokes scored a hat trick as Celtic restored its massive 21-point lead at the top of the Scottish league standings with a 3-0 win over St Johnstone on Sunday.

Stokes opened the scoring 16 minutes into the game with a shot from outside the area before volleying into the net for his second goal of the afternoon in the 64th minute.

Stokes completed his treble with a low shot two minutes later.

Celtic is unbeaten in 25 league matches this season. Second-placed Aberdeen leads Motherwell by one point.
