Argentina striker Ignacio Scocco becomes Sunderland's 4th capture in January transfer window

SUNDERLAND, England - Argentina striker Ignacio Scocco has completed his move to Sunderland from Brazilian club Internacional.

The 28-year-old Scocco has signed a 2 1/2-year deal with Sunderland, becoming Gus Poyet's fourth capture in the January transfer window.

Scocco's compatriots Oscar Ustari and Santiago Vergini have already signed for the north-east England club, while Spanish fullback Marcos Alonso has joined on loan.

Scocco was in the stands at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday as Sunderland beat Stoke 1-0 to climb out of the Premier League relegation zone.
