Armin Veh returns to coach at Stuttgart, where he won the Bundesliga title in 2007

STUTTGART, Germany - Armin Veh is returning to coach Stuttgart, the Bundesliga club he guided to the championship in 2007.

Stuttgart says Veh has signed a two-year contract. Veh announced in March that he would leave Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season. He spent three years in Frankfurt, returning the team to the top division and taking it to the Europa League.

Stuttgart fought against relegation and managed to stay in the Bundesliga under short-term coach Huub Stevens, who took over in March as Stuttgart's third coach of the season. Stevens said Saturday after the final match and a 1-0 loss at Bayern Munich that he would not return.

Veh caused a sensation by winning the Bundesliga title in 2007 with a young team but was fired the next season.
