Brazilian judge allows 6 fans to watch Corinthians match despite ban imposed by federation

SAO PAULO - A judge says six Corinthians supporters must be allowed into the team's Copa Libertadores match against Millonarios of Colombia on Wednesday even though the South American football federation has ordered the Brazilian club to play in an empty stadium following the death of a 14-year-old Bolivian fan.

The judge's decision is based on the country's consumer rights law. The six supporters who sought the legal action are among the more than 80,000 who bought tickets in advance for the team's three group-stage matches in the Latin American competition.

The South American federation said Corinthians must play its home matches in an empty stadium for 60 days because the flare which killed the Bolivian boy last week allegedly came from the Corinthians fan section.

Twelve Corinthians fans remain detained in Bolivia.
