Brazilian striker Tulio De Melo joins Evian from first division rival Lille
EVIAN, France - Brazilian striker Tulio De Melo has joined French first division side Evian from Lille on a six-month deal.
Evian announced the transfer on its website on Tuesday without disclosing any financial details. De Melo trained with his new team mates on Tuesday at the club's training headquarters.
The 28-year-old's career at Lille was blighted by a series of injuries. During his time with the club, he scored 18 goals in 101 league appearances, with 67 of those as a substitute.
Prior to joining Lille, De Melo played three seasons with third division club Le Mans, scoring 22 goals in 72 appearances.
Evian is fighting against relegation and is in 17th place.
