Bruin, Horst, Clark score to give Houston 2nd road win of season, 3-1 over Sporting KC

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Sporting Kansas City missed a chance to go to the top of Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference by losing 3-1 at home against struggling Houston on Friday.

It was only the second away victory this season by the Dynamo, with the other coming back in early May at lowly Chivas.

Will Bruin had a deflected cross fall to his feet in the 35th minute and his one-touch goal gave Houston a 1-0 lead and brought up his 10th goal of the season.

Kansas City's Dominic Dwyer scored his 17th goal of the season in the 54th minute to equalize, but Sporting's shaky defence was again to blame for defeat, conceding three goals for the second-straight game.

David Horst and Ricardo Clark scored with headers 5 minutes apart in the second half.

Play was suspended for over an hour because of bad weather. The 0-0 match resumed in the 17th minute.
