Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas suspended for 4 games for head-butt

MADRID - Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas has been suspended for four games for head-butting defender Carlos Marchena during a 3-1 loss at Deportivo La Coruna last Friday.

Aspas was sent off with a direct red card for striking the prone Marchena in the first half after they collided in the area.

Aspas is Celta's leading scorer with 10 goals this season.

Celta was promoted to Spain's first division at the end of last season.

It is in second-to-last place and three points from safety with 10 rounds to go.
