Celtic ends triumphant season with 3-1 win over Dundee United
GLASGOW, Scotland - Three second-half goals helped Celtic to a 3-1 win over Dundee United on Sunday as Neil Lennon's men were presented with the Scottish league trophy for the third consecutive season.
Striker Anthony Stokes scored Celtic's 100th league goal of the season in the 64th minute before Greek substitute Georgios Samaras scored from the spot after being fouled by United keeper Radoslaw Cierzniak.
An own goal by defender Filip Twardzik reduced Dundee United's deficit before Kris Commons sealed his team's win with his 32nd goal of the season.
Celtic, which clinched the title in March, finished 29 points ahead of Motherwell, which secured second place with a 1-0 win at third-placed Aberdeen.
