Celtic knocked out of Scottish League Cup by second-tier struggler Morton
GLASGOW, Scotland - Scottish champion Celtic was knocked out of the League Cup by Morton on Tuesday, losing 1-0 to the second-tier club
Dougie Imrie scored a spotkick five minutes into extra time for the visitors, who are second from bottom in the Championship.
Celtic, which is playing in the Champions League this season, conceded the penalty when referee Bobby Madden adjudged defender Efe Ambrose to have handled.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon says "the only disappointment for me is we had 26 corners and we didn't convert one of them with the height we had in the team. We have to take our chances."
