ISTANBUL - Senegalese striker Demba Ba underwent a medical test at Turkish club Besiktas on Wednesday as the team works to finalize a transfer deal with Chelsea.

Ba has agreed in principle to join the Istanbul club, but president Fikret Orman said "transfers have to match our budget."

Ba said "I want to showcase my talent to everyone as soon as possible. Besiktas is a great club and I want to be a part of this club."

The forward failed to establish himself at Chelsea after productive spells at Hoffenheim and Newcastle.
