Eden Hazard's younger brother Thorgan picked as Belgian Player of the Year

  • Print

BRUSSELS - Eden Hazard's younger brother Thorgan has been voted Belgium's professional player of the season by his peers.

Thorgan Hazard, who also won the 2013 title of most valuable player, is on loan from Chelsea to Zulte Waregem, where he impressed with the same kind of playmaking skills and feel for the game as his brother.

Despite the recognition, Thorgan Hazard has not been picked by Belgium coach Marc Wilmots to travel with his brother to the World Cup in Brazil.

Hazard, the first Belgian to win the title since Vincent Kompany in 2005, is unlikely to stay with Zulte Waregem after the season.
