Hoffenheim parts company with goalkeeper Tim Wiese
FRANKFURT - Hoffenheim says it is parting company with out of favour former Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese by mutual consent.
The Bundesliga club says that for legal reasons it cannot reveal details of the agreement to break Wiese's contract.
Wiese left Werder Bremen in 2012 and signed a four-year contract with Hoffenheim. He soon became the club's captain but was relegated to the bench after some poor performances and was later dropped from the first team. He trained on his own and never wore the club's shirt again despite having a high salary.
Capped six times by Germany, the 32-year-old goalkeeper did not say if he was joining another club.
