Hugo Viana leads Braga to 2-0 win over Maritimo in Portugal

LISBON, Portugal - Midfielder Hugo Viana scored one goal and set up another to lead Braga to a 2-0 win over visiting Maritimo in the Portuguese league on Saturday.

Viana scored from long range to put Braga in front four minutes before halftime. He then helped cap the win in stoppage time when he passed for forward Alan to score.

Braga's victory lifted it into third place, two points clear of Pacos Ferreira before its game against Beira Mar on Sunday.

Also, Sporting Lisbon drew 1-1 at Academica.

After its 2-0 win at Estoril on Friday, Porto leads the league by one point over Benfica before it plays Gil Vicente on Sunday.
