Impact defender Nesta out at least two weeks with adductor strain

MONTREAL - Montreal Impact defender Alessandro Nesta will be out of action for at least two weeks with an adductor strain.

Nesta, who celebrated his 37th birthday on Tuesday, will miss the Impact's home game Saturday against the New York Red Bulls. He is expected to be out for between two and two-and-a-half weeks.

The former AC Milan star was substituted in the 12th minute of Montreal's 2-1 victory over Toronto FC last Saturday.

His exit caused a shuffle at the back, as right back Hassoun Camara moved into the central defence to take Nesta's place. Dennis Iapichino went in at left back and Jeb Brovsky moved across to the right side.
