Inverness reclaims 2nd place in Scottish Premier League by beating Hearts 3-2
GLASGOW, Scotland - Inverness reclaimed second place in the Scottish Premier League by beating Hearts 3-2 on Saturday.
Inverness went a point ahead of Motherwell, which lost 3-0 at Ross County, and St. Johnstone, which beat St. Mirren 1-0.
Celtic is 18 points ahead of Inverness at the top of the SPL as the Glasgow side strolls to the defence of its title.
At Hearts, Gary Warren's double either side of Billy McKay's goal clinched the victory for Inverness.
Hearts had twice equalized through Jason Holt and Andy Webster's deflected strike, but both times handed the initiative back to their Highland visitors within minutes.
Hearts is in 10th place, seven points away from the top half of the league.
