FLORENCE, Italy - Manchester United midfielder Anderson has completed a loan move to Serie A side Fiorentina.

Anderson trained for the first time with his new teammates on Saturday and Fiorentina says he has joined on loan until the end of the season.

The Brazilian says "it was good, the team looked after me, everyone tried to help me. I appreciate everything everyone is doing for me. I'm very happy."

The 25-year-old made just four Premier League appearances for United this season before his loan move to Florence.

Anderson added: "I don't have a preferred position. I've just come here to try to help the players, help the team, help the manager and do my best."

Anderson joined United from Porto in 2007 and has since made 104 Premier League appearances.
