  • Print

SOUTHAMPTON, England - Ireland striker Shane Long has made Southampton his third different club in 2014 after signing from Hull for a reported fee of 12 million pounds ($20 million).

Both clubs announced the transfer of Long on Thursday on a four-year deal, continuing Southampton's rebuilding after a summer exodus that saw the south-coast team lose key players like Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert to Liverpool and Luke Shaw to Manchester United.

Long only played 15 games for Hull following his move from West Bromwich Albion in the January transfer window.
