Southampton continues rebuilding by signing Italian striker Graziano Pelle from Feyenood
SOUTHAMPTON, England - Southampton has continued to rebuild its team after selling a trio of prized assets this summer by signing Italian forward Graziano Pelle from Feyenoord.
New Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has returned to his former club in the Netherlands to make his second preseason acquisition, after signing Dusan Tadic from FC Twente.
The Premier League side has sold Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert to Liverpool and Luke Shaw to Manchester United over the past month.
Pelle, who also played under Koeman at AZ Alkmaar, scored 55 goals in 66 matches for Feyenoord over the past two seasons.
The 28-year-old Pelle says "Koeman and I worked together for two amazing years at Feyenoord, and I hope that it will be the same here."
Pelle has penned a three-year deal with Southampton.
