Western Sydney, Sydney FC draw 1-1 in A-League city derby
SYDNEY - Shannon Cole's 69th-minute goal gave the Western Sydney Wanderers a 1-1 draw with Sydney FC to all but clinch first place in the A-League.
Former Juventus star Alessandro Del Piero gave Sydney FC the lead in the 34th minute at Parramatta Stadium, the home ground of the impressive first-year Wanderers.
Earlier Saturday, Josh Risdon scored an injury-time goal to give the Perth Glory a 3-2 win over the Melbourne Victory.
On Sunday, Brisbane plays the Melbourne Heart and Adelaide takes on the Central Coast Mariners.
The Mariners need three points from their match to prevent the Wanderers, who have a six-point lead in first place, from clinching the minor premiership with one round to play.
