Yu Dabao strikes as China defeats Iraq 1-0 in Asian Cup qualifier
CHANGSHA, China - Striker Yu Dabao scored in injury time for China to beat Iraq 1-0 and make Group C more intriguing in Asian Cup qualifying on Friday.
Yu, who went on as a substitute, scored three minutes into injury time at Changsha Helong Sports Centre.
That left China, Iraq and Saudi Arabia tied on top of the four-team group.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia had beaten China 2-1, while Iraq prevailed 1-0 over Indonesia, which has played only once.
Saudi Arabia has also played only one game.
