Mennonite Church Manitoba -- Camps with Meaning introduces a new component to day camp programming this summer. The Friends Around the World program will introduce campers to other cultures. Camp Assiniboia's day camp operates during July for grades 1-6. 895-2267.

Charity garden tour

John Black Memorial United Church second annual charity garden tour, July 19, 1-4 p.m., 898 Henderson Hwy. Ten stunning gardens, within a short walking distance of the church, will showcase a wide variety of creative gardening ideas. There will be a wildflower plant sale by Praire Originals, as well as planting advice, lemonade and a silent auction at John Black the day of this self-guided walking tour. Tickets/maps, $10 at McNally Robinson Booksellers (Grant Park, Polo Park stores) and Shreimers. Come and ejoy the gardens -- rain or shine.

Summer music camp
