Delta flight with 139 aboard makes emergency landing in Halifax, all safe

HALIFAX - The passengers and crew of a Delta Airlines flight are OK after the plane made an emergency landing in Halifax on Wednesday night.

Ashley Gallant, a spokeswoman at Stanfield International Airport, says the plane carrying 139 passengers and crew landed without incident about 10:15 p.m.

Emergency crews were on the scene.

Gallant says Delta flight 066 was en route from Atlanta to Zurich when it declared an emergency over an ”oxygen maintenance issue.”

She had no further information about the problem.

Gallant said the passengers are waiting for Delta to send another aircraft to complete their flight.
