Many of us love our own backyards. Others can’t wait to get to the cottage (and there are thousands of cottage-owners in this land of many lakes.) Some have a favourite camping spot or viewpoint or local landmark they faithfully visit every year.
When we decided to put together a made-in-Manitoba section this summer, we turned to our own newsroom, proud Manitobans all, and asked them to share their favourite spots.
We were hoping to highlight some of the places where the travel writers never go, and also to give you an insight into why these places matter to us.
And here -- straight from the heart -- they are.
