Huatulco is Mexico's latest hot spot

Just call it PARADISE.

Huatulco is a hard-to-find jewel in the pages of the travel guides, often tucked away in the back of the brochures. It's a place where arriving flights are frequent but not incessant, where tourists go to escape and slow down, not to hurry to take in all they can in their week or two of freedom.

We -- I had three travelling companions -- knew we needed a getaway, and right away. I didn't know if I could survive winter on the Prairies without a break from the snow and ice. Our prime vacation requirement? Somewhere hot. We found a quick, last-minute vacation to Huatulco, and away we went.
